Build a custom report

BEFORE YOU START

- Browse the 16 pre-built reports first — yours might already exist - Decide what data you need (which module: Tax / Audit / Billing / Time / Clients / Portal) - Decide who needs the report and how often

STEP BY STEP

- Go to Reports → click + Custom Report - Step 1 — Pick a module — Tax, Audit, Billing, Time, Clients, or Portal - Step 2 — Pick fields — choose columns to include (e.g. for Time: staff, client, hours, rate, amount) - Step 3 — Add filters — equals, contains, greater_than, less_than, etc. - Step 4 — Sort — pick column and direction (ascending / descending) - Step 5 — Preview — see results before saving - Step 6 — Save — give it a name; it joins your custom library - Optional: schedule delivery — weekly or monthly via email — pick recipients

TIPS / GOOD TO KNOW

- Custom reports are unlimited per firm - Both Excel AND PDF export supported on every report - Performance reports (revenue, MRR) are OWNER-only by design - Reports respect your role-based permissions — you only see data you're allowed to see

TROUBLESHOOTING

- Empty results: filters too restrictive — broaden the date range or remove a filter - Export shows blank: data fields not pulling — refresh the page; if persistent, contact support - Scheduled email didn't arrive: check spam; confirm email integration is healthy
